CORALVILLE, Iowa — September 24, 2026 — Pani Clean, Inc. today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted U.S. Patent No. 12,662,401 B2, titled “Hybrid electrodialysis and electrolysis systems and processes.” Issued on June 23, 2026, the patent supports Pani Clean’s proprietary technology for recovering water and converting pollutants such as nitrates into useful products.
The patented method integrates electrodialysis, which separates and concentrates nitrate from water, with electrolysis, which converts the concentrated nitrate through electrochemical reactions. By combining water recovery with pollutant conversion, the company aims to reduce treatment burdens and enable the reuse of water and recovered products within a circular economy.
The patent grant strengthens Pani Clean’s intellectual property position as it advances pilot development and commercialization. The company is seeking collaboration with industrial partners, water utilities, and investors to support validation and scale-up of its technology.
